A Study Of Value Orientation And Life Satisfaction Along With The Relationship Between Them On The Peasantry In Shanxi Province

After our country entered WTO, more international competitions make theissues concerning agriculture, countryside and peasantries become an urgentproblem to be settled. As an important part of it, the issues about peasantriesled a lot of concerns. The big amount of Chinese peasantries and their lacksof educations have become huge obstacles in front of the modernization ofour country.The modernization of people is the most meaningful. Because themodernization is not only the modernizing of matters, technology andequipments, but also the modernizing of humans' education, thoughts, ideasand behavior styles.In recent years, we have made some mistakes about the development ofagriculture also with some peasantry's problems. In the field of psychology,some concerned researches has lacked for years.We conducted a qualities research first in order to make clear about their truelife and needs, and we collected a lot of new material texts from being livingwith the peasants in some of the countryside in Shanxi province. The focus ison the value orientation and life satisfaction of them, and later somediscussion is made about the relationship between them.A quantities research is conducted in the following days which is basing onthe analyzing of the qualities research materials and some former researches'results.Some of this research's results are below:1. There are three kind of value orientations is clear on the peasants of Shanxi. In detail, these is goal value include works, family and money;tool value include benefit of public and chase of character also identify to others;rule value include criterion of law.2. Peasants can make themselves be satisfied through dynamic adjusting their criterions about what is life satisfaction. In some special point, when something is related to their personal benefits and family benefits, the dissatisfaction would show, but their attitudes are only compromise.3. The self-concept is one of the keys between value orientations and individual's life satisfaction.4. Works with achievements and family priority are the core of the peasant's values orientation.5. The life satisfaction of peasant is on a some high level, incomes is a index of the life satisfaction about materials but not influence the total life satisfaction.6. In some aspects, the values orientation is not influence life satisfaction directly. And values orientation does influence their life satisfactions but not the key factor.
