The everlasting debate over the definition, nature and conflict between state and civil society reflected people's fervent concern of such topic, and, as proposed by Marx, the inherent conflict of value behind all this. To explain this situation Marx related his discoveries on property and ownership as the source of the conflict as well as the feature that differentiate them, which is concluded from his perspective of long term historical study. Nevertheless, his analysis exceeds in that he rested it on the purpose of men, once such a concrete base has been established, many secrets unfold. The conflict between state and civil society as it appears is indeed a fraction of a larger scale war inside humanity, and his ultimate task is to remedy the inconsistency of personality. Capitalist slogan of freedom and equality intentionally or unintentionally disguised these incoherent goals in a same purpose, while their revolutions might take place, the problem was left unattended. The rivalry between freedom and equality is the cause of unrest in a capitalistic world and it must seek its cure elsewhere. By tracing down his thoughts, our thesis will hopefully initiate a journey to re-evaluate Marx's attempts to improve the human condition, and ultimately, to liberate men by undisputed and genuine liberty and equality.
