Marx’s Theory Of The Relationship Between State And Society And Its Contemporary Enlightenment

Before Marx,there were three kinds of relations between state and society,whether it was the view that society mixed with state,that society was higher than state or that state was higher than society,or that they saw the opposite side of state and society,either regarded state as the necessary evil of society,or only emphasized the function of state in shaping society;or only see the simple "unity" of state and society,did not find the dialectical organic relationship between state and society.On the basis of absorbing the positive ideological achievements of predecessors and taking the separation of state and society as the premise,Marx summed up the general understanding of the relationship between state and society: civil society determines the political state,state roots in society,the development of social productivity and social division leads to the emergence of private ownership,and then causes class contradictions and class struggle.In order to control the class contradiction,state splits out from society as a ruling tool and management organization.With the disappearance of class,state will return to society as a social management organization.Marx’s logic of thought about the relationship between state and society mainly experienced three processes: shaking,disillusionment,remolding.From advocating Hegel’s rational state view that state decided civil society to demonstrating the historical materialism that civil society decided state.In such a process of deconstruction and reconstruction,Marx based on new materialism,examined the relationship between state and society from the perspective of social organism,and pointed out that although state existed independently of society,it was also included in the social organism,and grew together with social organism.In order to further realize social liberation,Marx analyzed the polarization and opposition between capitalist country and society as well as the unique development of the relationship between eastern country and society,and pointed out that the basic contradictions of capitalist society can’t be overcome,and will eventually be surpassed by the "free man union" which is more in line with the development of social organism,so as to realize the real unity of the country and society;in the east,the rural commune had a unique social form of coexistence of commonality and decentralization due to its public-private combination,while state managed the society,there was also relative independence of the society."Involvement" and "interaction" are the new trend of the relationship between eastern country and society.Different relations of production give birth to different modes of state and society.From Marx’s analysis of the relationship between the east and the west,the relationship between state and society is not only a conflict mode of confrontation,but also a benign mode of harmonious interaction.Since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,the relationship between state and society has been developing towards a new trend of "harmonious interaction",gradually forming a uphold the leadership of the Community Party of China,state led and social independent development mode.In this regard,we need to adhere to the unified leadership of the party,take the value concept of society determining the state as the direction,on the basis of improving the rule of law and clarifying the functional orientation of state and society,standardize the relationship between state and society,promote its harmonious development,and jointly promote the healthy and orderly development of the social organism.
