The Questionnaire And Survey Research On Prison Police's Competency Of Psychological Treatment For Offender

This study takes the Prison Police as research object, uses the method of historical documents, interview, questionnaires and other psychology research techniques to construct the structure of Prison Police's competency of psychological treatment for offender, creates the Questionnaire of Prison Police's Competency of Psychological Treatment for Offender, and analyzes the questionnaire's validity and reliability. Based on those, the study also investigates the present situation of Prison Police's competency of psychological treatment for offender, therefore, it proposes the way to improve the Prison Police's competency of psychological treatment for offender. The results are these:(l)By the method of Open-ended questionnaire and interview, we can know the view and the characterization of competency of psychological treatment for offender by Prison Police, the study develops the Questionnaire of Prison Police's Competency of Psychological Treatment for Offender. Based on the Exploratory Factor Analysis, the questionnaire contains 6 dimensions:stock of knowledge, counseling ability, counseling philosophy, situated cognition, personality traits and self-development. Furthermore, with the Confirmatory Factor Analysis, the model of 6 dimensions is also stable and reliable, the reliability and validity of the test achieve the psychometric criterion, which call be applied in the future research.(2) The study on Prison Police's competency of psychological treatment for offender shows that:the whole lever is higher than the average lever;there are significant differences between the Prison Police with or without training experience, and the Prison Police with or without working for psychological treatment for offender; the Prison Police with different administrative ranks and different work experience claims significant differences in some dimensions in the competency survry; and no significant differences is found among the Prison Police with differenciation regarding to educational background and first major. The study finally searches the way to strengthen the competency of the Prison Police for psychological treatment for offender.
