| The passive is a very important and very common linguistic feature in both English and Chinese, and is a main expressive form of the two languages'passive expression, also is a important content on the process of studying for English-Chinese second language students. English-Chinese passive sentences have similarities, However, there are many great distinguishes between the two languages when using the passive. This article summarizes the features of English-Chinese passive sentences through the passive sentences of expressions, semantic function, pragmatic functions, three aspects, and makes the analysis and contrast to a certain degree. For students learning a foreign language, contrastive language will promote the study of foreign language of passive sentences, the understanding and easier to manage.The main content of this article has three chapters, the first chapter, it is concluded that the two languages'expressions have both similarities and differences through classifying their comparisons for the two languages passive sentences. The English form of passive sentences is relatively single, while the expressional skills of Chinese passive sentences are more complex and varied. The second chapter basically makes contrastive analysis by the semantic emotionality and the different angles of observing problems, it would state clearly the semantic function of the similarities and differences between the two languages. The third chapter expatiates on the pragmatic function, carries out the detailed statistic and contrastive analysis on the tenses, frequency of two languages passive sentences and analyzes the causes accordingly. Finally, it deduces several conclusive summarizations after the contrastive analysis of passive sentences in English and Chinese. |
