Chuan Qi of the Ming dynasty is an artistic form featured with male and female lead system, which has plenty of the intellectual images, featuring in diverse characters, profound thought and distinctive artistic characteristics, has not been enough emphasized by researchers and so far it has not a comprehensive interpretation and evaluation. Based on a wide range of detailed data, combined with political and social life in Ming dynasty and other concerns, the author gives a comprehensive interpretation of them, and strives to make a whole in-depth analysis to recognize its ideology and artistic charm.First of all, in the paper, based upon the existing classification for Chuan Qi, and combined with typical characteristics of intellectual images, the intellectual images of Chuan Qi of the Ming dynasty will be divided into filial and virtue, divine powers and Shinto, loyal to love and other type. Those categories then are subclassified and given a detailed description of the images, giving the readers a comprehensive and clear introduction.Secondly, starting with the cultural, social, political, system and other efforts of the Ming Dynasty in this paper ,the author makes an in-depth analysis of ideology of the intellectual images in Chuan Qi of the Ming dynasty. The conflict and contest between traditional moral thought and thought of emancipation makes writers of Chuan Qi break the feudal tradition, using the image depicted as a tribute to the free and sacred love while also make use of the intellectual images to promote enlightenment, to summon and preach, to reverse the feudal tide. Meanwhile, the cultural of Confucianism, Buddhism, Taoism exchanges and conflicts affect people's thinking in Ming dynansty, which is also reflected in their intellectual images described.
