Divining is a part of Chinese traditional culture and has a far-reaching influence on the development of ancient Chinese literature.The research on the relationship between divination and notebook novels is helpful to understand the important role and literary connotation of divination in novels.Taking the case of the prophetic weaves in the notebook novels of the Ming dynasty,this paper analyzes and explores from three aspects: narrative art,character image and ideological connotation.In the introduction,the concept of "divination" and "notebook novel" and the scope of the research text are defined,and the research results of notebook novel,autobiography and novel are systematically sorted out and analyzed,which serve as the research background of this paper.The first chapter longitudinal combing the development of divination,notebook novels and divination.Divining originated from oracle inscriptions of the Yin and shang dynasties,which flourished during the reign of emperor guangwu of the han dynasty.From wei jin to sui and tang dynasties,it was forbidden and destroyed by the government.Song dynasty,the official force,and to the yuan,Ming and qing dynasties,prophetic scholars due to the collation and research Renaissance.Throughout the development and history of divination,the theory of divination changed from spiritual belief to academic inquiry in the official level,and was handed down in the folk because of its own mysterious color.Due to the introduction of prophetic themes,the notebook novels of various periods exhibited the characteristics of their times in artistic techniques and ideological contents.The feature of divining in the notebook novels of han and wei dynasties was the simple record of historical events.In the tang dynasty,scholars' consciousness of "intentionally creating novels" was born.They pursued brilliant writing style and graceful plots in artistic creation.A large number of works with strong literary characteristics appeared.After the song and yuan dynasties,the rational speculative consciousness of the literati increased,the divining of the note novels showed obvious color of discussion,literary color is relatively weak.By the Ming dynasty,divining had been organically integrated into the literary construction of note novels,and became oneof the important ways to construct the meaning of qing novels.The second chapter classifies and analyzes the different states of divination in the Ming dynasty notebook novels.From the carrier form,the theory of prophetic latitude is divided into language prophecy,tablet prophecy,rumor prophecy,poem prophecy,dream prophecy;From the appearance of the form,the latitude and longitude are divided into the induced,the different appearances,the disasters,and the auspiciousness sign;From the way of activities,the future will be divided into Fuji,feng shui,divination,fortune-telling,character detection,astrology.Through the above classifications,the theorists found that there were some obvious features of divining in Ming dynasty notebook novels.Second,the user reflects the characteristics of civilian;Thirdly,divining was widely used in people's life.Fourthly,people's cognition of prophecy became rational.The emergence of these characteristics is not only the expression of the diversified production mode after the urban economy developed in the Ming dynasty,but also the expression of the citizens' daily life into literary creation.The third chapter focuses on analyzing the narrative art of the prophetic stories in the note novels of the Ming dynasty and the shaping of the characters.In the writing of the prophetic stories of the notebook novels in the Ming dynasty,the author verified the combination of the way of structure and the skill of structure mentioned by Mr.Yang yi by virtue of the knowledge system and narrative thinking of the prophetic novels and combining the stylistic features of the notebook novels.The three structures of prophetic stories embody the evolution of narrative features in the writing process.The structure of the theme of prophetic stories with clips as the center is a short and relatively complete story model of the narration of prophetic stories,which represents the original simple way of writing the narrative text based on "prophecy--fulfillment".The structure of the story with the event as the center is easier to highlight the theme of the story than the other two,and it emphasizes the fact that the theme of divination has become the expression of the author's ideology in the Ming dynasty.Compared with the previous two structures,the structure with the character as the center to show the prophetical theme not only accurately expressed the theme of the story,but also shaped the vivid image of the characters,and its narrative pattern has become more mature.Prophetic-mixed story in the construction of space and time,emphasis on "notes novel" and "prophetic-mixed" characteristics of the two,combining the historical time and space daily to enhance has a history of "the nature" the authenticity of notes novel describing the daily life and ordinary people,fuzzy time combined with a dreamy space,highlighting "prophetic-mixed" a knowledge system of the dreamy color and the fantasy of narrative features.The divining stories were written by the literati,and the characters had variouscharm under the pen of the literati.However,none of them escaped the author's original intention of "based on what the author saw and heard",and the truth became the unified criterion for the description of their characters.The emperor's image contains both the pious accumulation of generations and the rational emerging ones.The images of warlocks are various and have their own characteristics,which make them the indispensable protagonists in the stories.The images of scribes are both beautiful and ugly,while the officials are quite divine.However,one of the common characteristics of their shaping is that they act as the propagandists of the rulers' morality.The fourth chapter analyzes the ideological connotation of divining in the notebook novels based on the political ideology and ideological evolution of the latter in Chinese history.Confucianism was officially established by the han dynasty and gained great attention from the literati group.The way of thinking and cultural influence formed by Confucianism extended to the qing dynasty.Its specific manifestation can be divided into two stages,namely,the "theocracy" in the official politics before the tang dynasty and the rational pattern under the humanistic trend of thought initiated by the song dynasty.The mystery of divining itself turned from political vision to folk art,and the corresponding divining notebook novels witnessed the evolution of the ideological culture.Notes connotation in the novel also generally can be divided into "god" and humanistic consciousness,from the song dynasty of humanities in the Ming dynasty to continue and deepen the consciousness,people begin to pay close attention to the fate of,value and dignity of people,attention to and deepen the subject,for the development of the subsequent prophetic-mixed novels in the qing dynasty laid a profound literary background.Divining stories developed from the han and wei dynasties to the Ming dynasty.The narrative form of the text changed from simple historical records to anecdotes and legends,and finally completed the integration with literary narration,becoming a unique literary theme.The ideological connotation contained in it changed from theocracy to individual life destiny,permeated with thoughts on human fate,human value and dignity and other issues,both of which had important historical significance for the later qing dynasty prophetic novels.
