In this study, the Chinese version of Healthy Kids Resilience Assessment (HKRA) amended by Hailei Huang et al. and the Coping Style Scale for Adolescents edited by Xiting Huang et al. are used to investigate resilience and the relationship between resilience and coping style of 546 high school students from a certain National Demonstration High School in Mianyang, Sichuan Province, China. Research outcomes are list below:(1)In general, the quality of resilience is good for high school students, at a grade of Above Average. In general, the resilience of high school students does not have significant difference between genders. In general, the resilience of high school students does not have significant difference in total scores between the four grades of high school study (Grade 1,Grade 2, Grade 3, and grade for returnees from high school graduates). However, several dimensions of the resilience of returnees have some certain level of differences with those in other grades. In general, the resilience of students in different types of classes has significant differences, with the scores of students in advanced classes much higher than those in general classes. In general, the resilience of returnees is significantly different with those of non-returnees, as returnees have much lower resilience scores than those of non-returnees. (2)In general, the coping style of high school students does not have significant differences, neither between the four grades; the coping style of students in advanced classes, whose scores are much higher, is significantly different from those in general classes; there are no significant differences in the total scores of coping style of between returnees and non-returnees.(3)In general, the resilience of high school students is positively correlated to coping style. Resilience shows a significant positive correlation with problem-solving, help-seeking, feeling ventilation of coping style, and a significant negative correlation with fantasy. Problem-solving, help-seeking and fantasy these three dimensions all have direct relationship with resilience: problem-solving, help-seeking could significantly and positively predict the resilience of high school students, while fantasy predicts negatively. Path analysis of resilience with respect to coping style shows that problem-solving, help-seeking and fantasy these three dimensions have direct impact on resilience, and problem-solving, help-seeking can be recognized as the protective factors of resilience.
