Measurement Model Of City Bus Driver Job Satisfaction And Its Application

There are very close relations between urban public transport and people's daily life, which will take an important impact on the development of city and the whole society. However, under the current conditions, the behavior of urban public transport system in our country is not very good and satisfying. Especially in recent years, some bus drivers get out of lines at times and bus accidents continuously take place in different cities which have made the problems hidden in bus service system reveal. Further, the society can not pay enough attention to the bus drivers, whose living and work conditions are not good. All these factors will result in the passengers'dissatisfaction that will influence the development of urban public transport and building of harmonious society. Therefore, carrying out the survey on city bus drivers'satisfaction is of very importance to enhance passengers'satisfaction and promote the development of urban public transport and harmonious society.In this paper, a questionnaire survey was carried out for the bus drivers in Shenyang to explode the factors which affect bus driver's satisfaction and a satisfaction index model of bus driver was tried to be constructed that is applicable for general cities. The model contains six structural variables:company image, driver expection, basic perception, driver satisfaction, driver commitment and driver loyalty, which can be better to reflect the factors influencing driver satisfaction. Further, the basic perception is divided into four parts (lender factor, oil factor, environment and treatment, relation with colleague and passenger) which are propitious to excavate concrete factors which will influence driver satisfaction deeply. And then the data was analyzed using SPSS13.0 and the model was analyzed in a validating way by using LISREL8.7, at the same time, the mutual relations among those structural variables were found out. The outcome had shown the good fitness of the model and most of the indexes were within acceptable arrange. This research is consilient with the fact and it is useful to hasten the development of urban public transport in China.
