The Dimensional Investigation Of "Yi" In Yuan Dynasty

In traditional Chinese aesthetics, "Yi" is a very specific category, which is the centered manifestation of ancient people's esthetic taste and thoughts. The pursuit of "Yi" in drawing reflected such important mental confide. The act of elude of literary men in Yuan Dynasty, put this esthetic category to a climax of Chinese lyrical drawing. And the pluralism of social progress and noematic openness further enhanced this esthetic consciousness of "Yi".From a multi-view of dimension and multi-space concept, this article tries to demonstrate the spirit essence of "Yi" by drawing of Yuan Dynasty, thus exploring the 4 foundations of Chinese drawing.This research was divided into 5 parts:In the introduction, objective and significance of esthetic concept was expounded and analyzed.In Chapter 1, "Yi" was concretely analyzed from definition, consciousness trend and idea basis and its influence in traditional Chinese esthetics and drawing arts.In Chapter 2, the physico-mathematic concept of "dimension" was introduced to analyze the category of "Yi". And a three-dimensional analysis was performed from angles of life state, spiritual level and esthetic state of painters of Yuan Dynasty.In Chapter 3, cause of fashion of "Yi" in Yuan Dynasty was analyzed. And relationship between boundary of "Yi" and "reason study" was also explained. The contradiction of "in society" idea of the Confucian and the "out society" idea of Zhuang zi, and influence of advocation of heart recurrence to this esthetic category was also elucidated.In the last part, conclusion was drawn from the previous chapters. The spiritual essence of "Yi" embodied in the drawing of Yuan Dynasty is to fill the human with nature and maintain the limpidness of mental state. And ultimately to achieive the harmony and unity of nature and human spirit.And our research was carried out scientifically and dialectically using the method of literature investigation, comparison-synthesis and qualitative analysis.
