All human activities are carried out within a certain space, and human perception and awareness on events occur in a space environment, in fact, the experiences with space environment play a significant role in the process of human cognition and formation of language expression. In this research paper, we will study the construction of modern Chinese system constructed written by Qi Lu Yang(1998) and L.Talmy(2005) who had established dimensions framework based on the similarities and differencecs between the Chinese and Vietnamese in their spatial dimension category. This research paper is divided into five chapters:The first chapter is an introduction topic on origin of Chinese and Vietnamese spatial dimensions. Subject covered in this chapter includes the study of the present situation and existing problems, research content, research method, processing method, corpus source and chapter arrangement. The second chapter further analyze the results from previous studies, using the perspective of cognitive semantics, semantic conceptual structure as a starting point and combined with their understanding to build a semantic framework for the modern Chinese and Vietnamese spatial dimension category, and gradually explore the internal structure of Chinese and Vietnamese spatial dimension semantic framework which includes the zero-dimensional‘point’(点),one-dimensional‘line’(线),twodimensional‘face’(面)and three-dimensional‘body’(体).Zero-dimensional,one-dimensional,two-dimensional,three-dimensional space shares common semantic features namely:entity(实体),tangible(有形),occupies(占据),and wide extension(广延),however each semantic features contains other semantic components except the common features. In addition to the common characteristics of each category,we will look into the comparison with the other semantic components.People put zerodimensional space range occupied by the spatial extent of object is considered as a‘point’(点),the object has the shape of"points",such as circular, spherical and particle shape and so on,neglecting the context of the length, width, height.People put one-dimensional objects in the space occupied by the range as a‘line’(线),which is generally only considered the space occupied by the object range in length feature, while ignoring characterization of its height and width,therefore,one-dimensional shape of an object is smilar to a“line”.People consider the space range occupy by object in two-dimensional as a range of‘plane’(平面),which is usually only considered the characteristics of the space range of objects by length and width, and neglect the characteristics of its height, thus,a two-dimensional objects has shape similar to a"plane".While, people considered the space range occupied by the object in three-dimensional space as‘volume’(体积),as the space occupies by a range of objects in three dimensions includes length, width and height,or in other words, threedimensional space is two dimensional spaces plus the volume of highly formation. The third chapter mainly research on the lexical approach of Chinese and Vietnamese. Han, which has more visible use of language dimension vocabulary Options were discussed. Han, select the language can express the space defined adjectives, quantifiers, and the position of the word as a preposition spatial dimension is more important language category means of expression. After all, Chinese and Vietnamese are two different languages; there will be area of similarities and differences. Their similarities are in a different phenomenon. In this chapter, the author special emphasis on the use of cognitive linguistics, describing theoretical linguistics, comparative linguistics, the description and interpretation combined to better explore the similarities and differences between Chinese and Vietnamese vocabulary in the Select Dimension visible manner on. Han and further factors, the conceptual components of the spatial dimension of language structure is formed inside the scope of the analysis, revealing similarities and differences between two different ethnic groups in the cognitive aspects of the spatial dimensions. The fourth chapter of the main contents of inherited L.Talmy(2005) conceptual framework of the theory, the continuation of the above detailed analysis on the spatial dimensions of Chinese and Vietnamese language category semantic features, to further discuss the scope of Chinese and Vietnamese language to express the concept of the spatial dimension of the configuration of the semantic similarities and differences on sentence structure. In this chapter, it highlights the Chinese, has the same grammatical structure and distinct grammatical structure of the language dimension category, focusing on similarities and differences between the two languages lexical analysis of the distribution and word order. This chapter will also cover simple grammatical structures and complex grammatical structures. Han, the grammatical structure of the language dimension of simple concepts primarily through spatial dimension and spatial dimension adjective quantifiers to express. Chinese complex grammatical structures dimension is expressed primarily defined by the expression of the spatial dimension and orientation of prepositional phrases. As Chinese and Vietnamese are two different languages, they belong to the category of the spatial dimension of these grammatical structures same and different, but have the same phenomenon. The fifth chapter study Han’s language of spatial dimension on adjectives, for example, their cognitive interpretation and comparative analysis of their situation by the spatial domain to the abstract domain cross-domain mapping. Since the formation of metaphorical meaning is when people put the schematic structure of the source domain onto a target domain, this projection is the result of people’s own experience and understanding, that is, people will be newly recognized abstract concept of space and has known the specific linked to the concept of physical space, aimed at finding similarities between the two, so that the physical space of specific experience is stored in the brain metastasis analogy to express the new cognitive abstraction. Therefore, in this chapter, we try to find the similarities and differences between the cognitive metaphors space between the two languages, and reveal the deep relationship between the two ethnic Han semantic cognitive activity and language. The last part of the thesis is the conclusion, summarizing the full text of the findings, pointing out the shortcomings of the significance of this innovation, this research, and proposed further research ideas.
