The Reason Of Basic-level Category Advantage

Basic-level advantage is an important problem in the research of taxonomic hierarchy. Rosclu Murphy and Centner have been started to discuss what lead to thephenomenon from 70s last century. We tend to prove our hypothesis using 3 experiments based on previous research especially differentiation view. We stated there is another-level category at least as well as basic-level category between superordinates and subordinates in experiment 1. We demonstrated the second superordinates have a common structure that gives rise to many psychologically relevant alignable differences in experiment 2. We established the psychological model of taxonomic hierarchy with commonalities and alignable differences in experiment 3. The data support the importance of similarity distance for locking advantage of basic-level categories and go out of circled proof about what is basic-level category.
