Today,no one will doubt the great influence brought in by computer and multi-media network technology on human's life style and the way of thinking. And they have inevitably changed people's acquaintance and experience of the world, the society, and as well as human beings itself. The network has not only changed the propagation modes and channels of literature , but also endowed the web-literature with many functional characteristics which differ from the traditional paper one. Traditional paper-literature has suffered a feudal ethic and political influences for a long time, and has gradually lost its literary function—"express your heart", so it's isolated from the public, and becomes the elite literature. Meanwhile, after undergoing a less-than-twenty-year process from the start in the 1980s to today's thriving, Chinese web-literature, in the sigh of"literary ending", shows great vitality and considerable momentum, and also displays significant differences from paper-literature. This paper argues that the web-literature distinguishes itself from traditional paper-literature in two aspects: on the one hand, in the literary forms, such as: multi-media technology, simple network language, humor and vulgar narrative style, etc; on the other hand, in the tendency of fundamental changes of value. Through the author's (or sometimes"writer"preferred) perceptional catharsis of individual's life experience and insights, the web-literature sets free people's instinct of writing and demostrates the foundamental functions of literature, for it lowers the noble head of the traditional paper-literature, receds its gorgeous coat and keeps it away from the lofty and didactic manner. Eventually, the web-literature maximizes the close contact with the reality, and thoroughly helps literature return to its free and pleasant nature of"game". Thus, the web-literature builds up another kind of real and natural life, which is unrestrained and intuitional. |
