Research On The Momentum Of Verb-object Construction With Momentum Phrase

The phrase of"numeral + action-measure word", as a commonly used language combination in Chinese, has always been concerned and studied in the past and has acquired huge achievement.Based on past research achievements about action-measure words and momentum phrase, this paper makes use of structural parsing, comparative parsing, semantic parsing as well as linguistics to do research on the model of verb-object construction with momentum phrase.Chapter one works on analyzing the structural features of"verb + numeral + action-measure word + object", and makes a comprehensive research on the mutual relationship among components or parts.Chapter two is devoted to explore the function of"numeral + action-measure word"in sentence patterns, attempting to explain the contradiction between the semantic definition of action-measure word and its structural form.Chapter three tends to study on what position some of"numeral + action-measure word"holds in Modern Chinese from synchronic perspective.Chapter four focuses on the source of the model of verb-object construction with momentum phrase from diachronic perspective.
