In Song dynasty Tai students'participation in the management of State Affairs proves to be a brilliant page in the history of Chinese education, and it is also the monumental work in ancient students'movement history. The movement reflects that these students were greatly concerned with their country and practiced their consciousness of Confucianism. Meanwhile, we can see their positive attitude in pursuit of the ideal social order and their indomitable spirit in keeping the truth and upholding the justice. In times of national crisis, they took an active part in solving issues for our nation and petition for the common beings. The diverse contents and forms of this movement reached the top in the history of the ancient students'political movement. And the patriotism, the awareness of unexpected development and the loftiness of thoughts and feelings will be the valuable historical heritage for the Chinese intellectuals; at the same time it will also be the priceless treasure for the huge quantity of youngsters to carry forward and promote, which will in turn wield the significant influence upon the contemporary college students to carry on the education on patriotism.This essay will start by the analysis of the social background of Tai students'participation in the management of State Affairs, make clear about its various contents and forms, summarize its features and offer a dialectical and pertinent evaluation. After the painstaking efforts on the related research, the author wants to make some useful supplement in this field of study, find out the truth of related historical events and preserve the grand tradition.
