With the development and popularization of computer technology, the Range of Multi-media for applications are increasingly being used, which penetrated into almost every aspect of social life. It becomes an important feature of this era. As convenient tools for carrying and dissemination of information, multi-media are increasingly affecting people's lives, which has been an important means to access to knowledge and information. Multi-media Interface is an visual platform of interactive between the audience and multi-media technology, which is the most direct level for user to interact with the multi-media products. The design of Multi-media interface has moved from the subordinate status in the past to a very promising prospect which is extremely optimistic about the industry. Accompanied by the outputs of a large number of multi-media works, the users'demands of multi-media are higher and higher, and the aesthetic demand for multi-media works are also increasingly urgent. So users have became an important consideration in multi-media interface design, by the research of users'emotions, improved the multi-media interface design so that to meet people's thinking activity better.The first part of this topic has done a brief discussion for the background and significance, which point out that emotional design has significance in multi-media interface design. The second part presents the subject positioning on the multi-media interface design and have an introduction to that and some other concepts which relates to it. Especially, I focused on the advantages and disadvantages. The third part researches the emergence of multimedia interface design, evolution, focused on analyzing the development of multimedia interface design which departs four phases: they are command language user interface, graphical user interface, multimedia user interface and so emotional. Pointing out that the emotion design is an inevitable trend. The fourth part analyzes the theoretical basis of emotional design from the perspective of philosophy and psychology, meanwhile pointing out the importance of emotional design which is rooted in philosophy and the changes that in thinking design ideas often have an enormous impact. At the same time, analyses the changes of user emotional from the psychological view, and pointing out that the emotional design needs from the user's thinking, perception, action and other aspects of design to research, and establishing a user psychology model of design models and ultimately, apply it to the actual design operations. Through the illustrate and analysis on the web interface, iphone mobile phone interface, etc. specific interface design, pointed out the multimedia interface design of a general method, as well as the development of emotional design in several directions and the value of emotional design's application from the shape, color, materials, function, style, name and so emotional. The fifth Part summarizes the points raised in this paper, and meanwhile describes the deficiencies and problems.The goal of the full text is to study the multi-media interface design for a more friendly user-interface design method, which is emotional design. As a new field of modern design on emotional design, which needs further study in order to promote domestic multi-media interface design, which is relatively backward compared with the developed countries and reducing the gap between the design level in order to meet user demand for high-quality multi-media products.
