Stefan Zweig (1881-1942) is the famous Austrian writer, novelist and biographer. Being famous for short story, he is the most popular and beloved German writer during his lifetime. His unique perspective and exquisite art create a group of "Zweig" female image and add special landscape to gallery of women in the world.This paper attempts to research on female image created by Stefan Zweig on the basis of Western feminist theory and psychological mental analysis achievements.The first chapter analyzes dependent female image mainly from obscured women, repressed girls, vanity women and women under patriarchal morality described by Zweig. Chapter two mainly analyzes the following independent female image: women bravely pursuing true love; women pursuing freedom and happiness; fair and kind women with sense of morality and women pursuing self-realization. Chapter three analyzes forming reasons of female image from three aspects:family background, spiritual tutor and social environment. Chapter four narrates the cultural meaning of these women images created by Zweig, and further reveals Zweig's deep contemplation on female issues from three aspects:sympathy on women's unfortunate fate, praise for women's beautiful spirit and persuasion on women extort behavior.
