Assuming time adverbs as F, the researching object of this article is to study the phenomenon of "F+(de)+X" structure.First of all, the paper defines the meaning of the time adverb in modern Chinese and gives the scope of time adverbs, which concludes 186 vocabularies. Then it has classified 186 time adverbs into 3 types:aspect adverbs, frequency adverbs and sequence adverbs.Then, through a closed investigation the article identified 41 time adverbs which could be used as attributive. Five characteristics of "F+(de)+X" have been summarized from aspects of the semantics, syntax and pragmatics:(1) Structural particle "de" is basically mandatory to appear. (2) Because of the constraints of semantic information carrying capacity and the rhythm balance, F is generally double-syllabled. (3) The grammatical functions of "F+(de)+X" are varied. (4) The distribution and acceptance of" F+(de)+X" is not balanced. (5)" F+(de)+ X " appears in many types of genres.Finally, the article analyzes the semantic and syntactic constraints on the rationality of the structure and sums up pragmatic values of the expression. In short, "F+(de)+X" meets people's pursuit of concise expression, is consistant with Economic Principles and Chinese language's feature-emphasis on the meaning and simplicity. The structure brings the positive factors and injects vitality into Chinese from the aspects of semantics, syntax and pragmatics.
