Chinese grammarians accepted complements cannot be used after the reduplicated verbs in the northern dialect and in Mandarin. But the form "Verb-reduplication+Complement" can be used in the morden southern dialects.In this article we choose the form "Verb-reduplication+Complement" in Danyang dialect, because Danyang is located in the northern dialect(Jianghuai Mandarin) and the Southern dialect (Wu dialect) at the junction. The line of Jianghuai Mandarin and Wu dialect through Danyang into two parts.First, we from syntactic properties to do a comprehensive analysis and research in the form "Verb-reduplication+Complement" in Danyang dialect. Analyzing the characteristics of the verb, the characteristics of the verb-reduplication and the type of complement, semantic point, and emotional and so on. There are four main types of the form "Verb-reduplication+Complement" in Danyang dialect. The complements are the Results Complement; the Directional Complement; the Premises Complement and the Complement Number.Second, we make discussion and research on the meaning of the form "Verb-reduplication+Complement" and the Verb-reduplication in Danyang dialect. We study the Verb-reduplication From of the form "Verb-reduplication+Complement" in Danyang dialect from the content areas. Obtained its grammatical meaning should be enhanced by repeated movements or the intensity of action or extended duration of action to get the consequence of the Complement.Finally, we compare the form in Danyang dialect with the form in Wu dialect and in Jianghuai Mandarin. We find the feature of the form in Danyang dialect, as it is the line of Jianghuai Mandarin and Wu dialect.
