The Chinese Characters Motivation Of Simplified Chinese Characters Compared With Traditional Chinese Characters

This article is aim to analyze the current phenomenon of the simplified and traditional Chinese characters that there is no justification for simplified Chinese characters to form and there is no culture in simplified Chinese characters. We choose 503 groups of simplified and traditional Chinese characters from the Master Schedule of simplified as object of study, and describe the motivation of the simplified and traditional Chinese characters, respectively.Firstly the article illustrated some academic opinions about the simplified Chinese characters as well as motivation of Chinese characters, and in this foundation proposed some issues that should be considered in analyzing the motivation of the simplified and traditional Chinese characters on review. The motivation of Chinese character is that the Chinese character part has the prompt function to Chinese language element (sound or meaning). Secondly,according to the results of analysis, the impact of simplify can be divided into three categories:the rationale for increased; the rationale of the decline; the rationale of the same. Based on our analysis the reason which caused the changes can be divided into three items:the methods of simplification, the aspect of language features of instrument and the evolution rule of the form of Chinese character. Lastly, we give a brief discussion on simplified and traditional Chinese characters, to make an objective evaluation from the motivation and as a carrier to the traditional culture.
