As a particle with high frequency and complicate usages in Mandarin Chinese, 'le' has many issues to be resolved in Teaching and Learning Chinese as a Foreign Language. The teaching materials play an important role in the teaching, so the research on particle 'le' of textbooks is very meaningful. We find a lot of scholars have already paid emphasize on 'le', however, it is still lack of the specific grammar projects research in the field of teaching Chinese as a Foreign Language. The study of 'le' in the teaching materials is blank. So, the research on particle 'le' in teaching materials is a new field in teaching Chinese as a second language.In this thesis, the author investigate and analyze particle 'le' in five primary Chinese textbooks which are used popular. Through Comparative Analysis and on the basis of some related theories and some results of scholars' research, comprehensive study the particle 'le' in the textbooks.The thesis has four chapters:The first chapter is a introduction part, mainly explains the origin and significance of the topic, the research status of the topic, and advanced the problems to be solved in this thesis.The second chapter compares the similarities and differences and the advantages and disadvantages of each textbook from four aspects, which are layout, explanation, exercises design and recurrence. We make an all-round investigation and analysis about 'le' in five primary Chinese textbooks in this chapter. Through our investigation we know that some textbooks divide 'le' into two kinds, some not; some compile 'le' compactly, some loose; some Chinese-English explanations are lack of specific, and have too much terms and long sentences; some are absence of exercises' amount and styles; some hasn't done enough to recurrence of 'le'. And we examine the results of our investigation in a nutshell.Based on the investigation and analysis of the second chapter, the third chapter gives some suggestions about layout, explanation, exercises design and recurrence. We think we should divided 'le' into two kinds when we compile 'le', one is placed after a verb to show that the action is in the state of being completed, one is used at the end of a sentence, indicating a sort of modal. And be focus on the error analysis of 'le'. We also need to follow the concise rules and avoid difficult and long sentences while explanations. Then in a certain range , we can expand exercise amount and exercise styles scientifically and improve the recurrence rate of 'le'. The four chapter is a conclusion part, makes a summary of the full thesis and points out the inadequacies about this thesis.
