Research In The Social Problems In Gansu When Zhang Guangjian Supervised Gansu

The time when Zhang Guangjian supervised Gansu refers to the period from March 1914 to December 1920 as Zhang Guangjian hold the position of the chief of the civil administration and the supervisor in Gansu. Then Gansu Province included the current Gansu, Ningxia, Qinghai provinces. In late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China,Yuan Shikai sent Zhang Guangjian to mastermind the government affairs in 1914 in order to stability his political power. After managing Gansu relied on Yuan's prestiqe, Zhang Guangjian took a series of wrong measuers in polity,militart and ecnomy in order to enhance his govern and to stability his status.This resulted a more dark society. Polity was corrupt. Military was chaos, and economic went to pot. The people complained , and army and folk mutinies happened frequently. In 1921, with the force between Zhi and Wan warlords of Beijing government shifting, Zhang Guangjian coundn't continue the rule without the backing only to leave from Gansu and ended his career in which he supervised Gansu for nearly seven years. Zhang Guangjian didn't make the people in Gansu in smooth water, but also hindered the social progress and development of Gansu.
