A Study On The Characters Of "Ren (人)" Radical In Shuowenjiezi

"Ren(人)"is one of the most important radical in Shuowenjiezi, including 245 characters.This paper traced to the source and textual research word original meaning comprehensive mainly by three methods.:finding the meaning from the character,finding the meaning from the phonetic,and testifying mutually by comparison.On the basis,this paper firstly regarded the characters in"ren"radical as a level clear,structure intact meaning system, divided the characters in"ren"radical into four kinds:"the name of people","the behavior of people,""the personality of people", and"the appearance of people".Every kind is divided into some parts,every part is divided into several more groups.By researching the word meaning from each group,we can revealed the implicit meaning and the metonymy and metaphor mode of thinking hidden in the characters, then explained the rich ideological and cultural connotations in"ren(人)"radical.This paper is composed of six parts:The preface: Mainly discussing the value of researching on"ren"radical in Shuowenjiezi,summaried the previous research results,descripted the research significance and methods.Chapter one: The meaning system of"ren"radical and the cultrue imformation of key characters.It constructed the meaning system of"ren"radical and explained the cultural connotation of"ren(人)","ren(仁)","yi(儀)","xin(信)".From chapter two to chapter five explained 4 big classes of the meaning system of the characters in"ren"radical.Chapter two:The research on the characters of the name of people.It analysed the denomination of the name of people,find out the reason of 11 name like"tong(僮)","ru(儒)",etc, explored the original meaning of ancient people's name,and traced the history of ancient famous people.summitted the features of the characters of things.Chapter three:The research on the characters of behavior of people. It included characters of action and behavior.the characters of behavior can be divided into positive,negative and normal parts.Chapter four: The research on the characters of the personality of people.It included three kinds:mood,character,intelligence.Every kinds is divided into positive and negative parts: the mood is divided into positive and negative parts;the character is divided into good and evil parts; the intelligence is divided into smart and stupid parts. Chapter five:the research on the characters of appearance.It included the appearance of people,the situation of things and action,the interpersonal relations.
