Chen Weisong, as the leader of Yangxian faction in the early Qing dynasty, is a distinguished Ci poet and contributes much to the development of Ci in Qing dynasty. He finished"All the works of Huhailou", which included thirty volumes, more than one thousand and six hundred pieces. He owns the most compositions, compared with other Ci poets. This dissertation studies on the Ci of Chen Weisong as follows:First, it focus on the relation between Chen Weisong and flourishing of Ci in Qing dynasty, referring Chen Weisong and Yangxian faction leaded by him, his theory on Ci, and his creating process.Secondly, it analyzes the contents and characteristics of his Ci, containing three parts: mourning the destruction of country, expressing pity for the sufferings of people, thanking for the giving of friends. It aims to understand the abundant meaning of his Ci.In the next step, it illustrates the style, characteristic and art achievement of his Ci, from the point of treating poet as Ci, treating composition as Ci and supreme style.Chen Weisong, as a distinguished Ci poet, brings great influences for the later generations, considering both the extending of content and the creating of style.
