The Separation Of Russian Orthodox Church In The Times Of Patriarch Tikhon

As one of the three major denominations in the Christian world, Orthodox Church occupies an important position. After Soviet political power was established, the new government's attacking policy caused the decline of Russian Orthodox Church; but religious revival movement sprang up and an upsurge of Orthodox faith appeared once again after Soviet Union collapsed, so the academic circles began to re-examine the religion of Soviets. About the Orthodox Study of this period which from the October Revolution to Soviet Union's disintegration, scholars have mainly carried out to explain the relationship between Church and State, analysising it in the macroscopic perspective; however, they doesn't study furtherly in the microscopic perspective.Through sorting out the separation problem of Russian Orthodox Church, when Tikhon as the Russian Orthodox Church Patriarch, analyzing the reasons for splitting the church, illustrating the choice of Russian Orthodox Church and the influence of its separation. Through the collation of the issue, combining the research findings on Orthodox Church both of Western circles and China circles, I believe that Russian Orthodox Church's separation is the development of class analysis theory after the October Revolution, which played an important role in consolidating Soviet political power.At the early stage of Soviet political power, Orthodox Church fought against the new government in order to obtain a larger space for the survival and development, but the nature of the differences eventually resulted in its failure. But this paper only refers to the separation problem of Russian Orthodox Church, besides these there are lots of many other activities and events, this article doesn't include the latter.
