Study On The Simplified Phenomena Of Characters In Wei, Jin And South & North Dynasty

The simplifed phenomena is one of the most important phenomenas in the history of the Chinese characters. It has been appeared with the emergence of the characters. The time of Wei, Jin and South & North dynasty is a important transition period and connection link between the preceding of Lishu in Han dynasty and the following of Kaishu in Tang dynasty. During this time, the scriptions showed the complexity and multiplicty including the simplifed feature. Therefore, this dissertion does the special research on the scriptions, which are on the stones, books and paper documents in this time. This dissertion also analysises the different ways of the simplify and shows these scriptions which are same to the contemporary characters, on the basis of possessing a lot of correlative data.The dissertation has five chapters as follows:The first chapter introduces the current sitution of this research about the simplifed feature and the purpose of this dissertation. It also explains the concepts, which are related to the simplify. And it introduces the range of the materials.The main content of the second chapter is to analysis and research the ways to simplify. As a result, we find that there are five ways to simplify.The third chapter is to analysis the simplifed characters and describe the configuration system and specialty of the strokes and the components.The forth chapter is to show the characters of this time, whose form and structure are the same to the contemporary characters according to the two books: the trace of contemporary characters and the source of the contemporary characters.The fifth chapter is to summarize the main feature of the simplified characters, which are the stones, the old books and the paper documents in Wei, Jin and South & North Dynasty. It also analysises the reasons of these simplify phenomena.
