The Book of Songs is the beautiful artistic flower in the Ancient Chinese Literature. Rhetoric is closely connected with the artistic achievements in its poems. Using rhetoric function in the Book of Songs as an object study, the paper explores its poems rhetoric, especially its poems artistic rhetoric, according to the principle that rhetoric must adapt itself to the subject of poem and that there is an unity of content and form. The paper expounds the relations between the phonetics, image and the feeling of poem from following four aspects: phonetics, words, syntax and structure. The phonetics rhetoric function is reflected in the use of Xuzi Rhyme Shuangsheng and Dieyun. The use of reiterative increases the pleasant sound and good image in the poems. The use of color words increases good image and feelings in the poems. The rhetoric function of Huwen and Dieju is the main aspects in the rhetoric function of syntax. The markedly artistic feature is Chongzhang Diechang in the poem structure of the Book of Songs. It not only makes poet works pleasant rhythm, but also expresses different feelings. In addition, the paper analyses the function of three rhetoric forms, include: Bi, Xing, Hyperbole, Jiedai etc. The use of rhetoric forms is the reason why the Book of Songs has the long-time artistic charm.
