Research On Bai Yansong’s Commentaries At The Olympics From The Perspective Of Rhetoric Situation

At the London Olympics and Rio Olympics Games,the two sessions of Bai Yansong ’s running commentary on the opening ceremony of Olympics Games,have drawn lots of attention from the audience and set off waves of the Olympic Game.So why does his commentaries can attract so much attention? At present,most researchers analyze the secret of Bai Yansong ’s success from aspects of interpretation style and language ontology.However,this article is no longer limited to the personal style summary,but the art of persuasion——rhetoric.And this paper tries to find out the internal rules of Bai Yansong ’s commentaries with high expectation and evaluation from the perspective of rhetorical situation existing in the Olympics Game,exploring how Bai Yansong ’s commentaries could come into existence as the situation requires,so as to guide the practice of radio and television discourse by using rhetorical laws.The first chapter is the introduction.This part describes three key points: the innovation,research content and research methods.By analyzing the current literature review on rhetoric situation theory and the commentaries at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games,I found that the rhetoric situation theory has not been fully studied in the field of radio and television discourse,and the rhetoric situation which has existed in the Olympic Games’ commentary for a long time,as well as numerous literature are concerned to the audience strength.The second chapter expounds the three elements which make up the rhetorical situation theory,and analyzes the rhetorical situation in terms of exigence,audience and rhetorical constraints.The third chapter analyzes Bai Yansong’s commentaries of the opening and closings ceremonies at London Olympics and Rio Olympic Games.This part uses the method of studying case,researching literature,analyzing corpus and induction to deeply dig out Bai Yansong ’s rhetoric strategy in explaining the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games,so as to analyze the rhetorical situation in the perspective of the opening ceremony interpretation language strategy skills,as well as deeply exploring rhetoric strategy in the Olympic Games’ commentaries which win the key audience.The fourth chapter explores Bai Yansong ’s rhetorical strategies in his commentaries’ impact on the ideology,attitude,emotion and behavior of the audience,This part draw a conclusion :finds that the reality has been achieved in four aspects: cultural communication,aesthetic guidance,emotional driving,interpersonal interaction.The fifth chapter summarizes the full text.It draws the conclusion that thanks to the perfect grasp of rhetoric law,and the rhetoric law chain of rhetorical situation(ideological leader)—— rhetoric strategy(action guide)——rhetoric function(get results),Bai Yansong’s commentary on the Olympic Games are well-reviewed in public.
