In this paper,we studied the absorption of Chinese neologisms in the 21 st Century's reading material from newspaper and magazines which is used as textbook in teaching Chinese as a second language using the methods of analysis and explanation.First we investigated and analyzed the Chinese neologisms which came into being between 1995 and 2005 with static method.Then we investigated and analyzed them with dynamic method.There are two main contents in this study.One is that using static method we investigated and analyzed the vocabulary quantity,semantic category,derivation,length of the Chinese neologisms from the material we studied and the Chinese neologisms which appeared twice or more.The other is that using dynamic method we investigated and analyzed the vocabulary quantity,semantic category,length of the Chinese neologisms from the material we studied and the subrogation of the Chinese neologisms from the material we studied which is in this part divided into two parts according to their edition years.The conclusions we get from this study:1.There are differences about the absorption of the vocabulary quantity of the Chinese neologisms among different reading material.And there are less when it comes near the edition years.2.Among the Chinese neologisms in the reading material we studied,most of them are neologisms about People's livelihood.And neologisms about economy,science and technology are increasing.3.Among the Chinese neologisms in the reading material we studied,the neologisms which were newly coined are the most.4.Among the Chinese neologisms in the reading material we studied,the neologisms with two syllables are most and the neologisms with one or four syllables are increasing.5.There is high rate between the Chinese neologisms in this study and high-frequency Chinese words from newspaper,broadcasting and Internet of 2005 and 2007. |
