Since Social Intelligence was put forward in 1920, many foreigners have been making lots of researches on it. However, in China, Social Intelligence was first studied in 1990s. By now, the achievements on this subject are only some literature reviews, few experimental studies can be found. Being proved by the previous psychologists, Social Intelligence is the core factor towards one's successful career. Social Intelligence is the ability to understand the others and the social surroundings, to interact with others well and make them to cooperate with you. Besides social awareness, social cognition, Social Intelligence also includes personality goodness and social skills. In order to make out a measurement of Social Intelligence for Chinese high school students, I have made a questionnaire in this dissertation, and made investigation on high school students'Social Intelligence, and then I get the features of their Social Intelligence. The study results are as follows:Firstly, through making literature review on all data about Social Intelligence existed both abroad and in China, I get all kinds of definitions about Social Intelligence. Then, I distinguish and compare them with each other so as to get the similarities and differences among them. Also, I make Social Intelligence compare with some other kind of intelligences. Based on reviewing the definitions and the structures of Social Intelligence, and through collecting Social Intelligence scales, I put forward my thought about Social Intelligence structure for Chinese high school students which will be testified in the following parts of the dissertation.Secondly, based on my thought about Social Intelligence structure, and after interviewing some psychology researchers, a preparatory questionnaire comes out. Being used item differentiating analysis, factor analysis, reliability analysis and validity analysis, the formal Social Intelligence Questionnaire has been come into being. It includes 39 items, totally six factors, i.e. social skills, predicting ability, perspective taking ability, social awareness, personality goodness and emotion manipulating ability. This result is basically equal to my thought structure, except the former one is a little more specified.Lastly, using the self-designed questionnaire to investigate Social Intelligence of Chinese high school students, I get the features of their Social Intelligence as follows: (1) High school students'Social Intelligence is different with grades, i.e. Senior Grade One students have the highest Social Intelligence among all grades of high school students, while both Junior Grade Two and Senior Grade Two students score lowest in Social Intelligence. (2) Girls are generally more socially intelligent than boys. Particularly, girls are more intelligent in the aspect of personality goodness as sincerity, trust, help and hearkening, etc.. And boys only do better than girls in perspective taking ability. (3) Students without siblings are more socially skilled than those with siblings. (4) The students of both big city and town are more socially intelligent than rural students in perspective taking ability and emotion manipulating ability, but rural students are more attractive in personality goodness. (5) The more parents are educated, the more the children intelligent. (6) Administrator mother's children are most socially intelligent. (7) The students of super high schools can be more emotionally controlled than those of ordinary high schools. (8) The students of arts are more socially intelligent than those of science. (9) The children whose family monthly income ranges from RMB3000 to 5000 have the highest Social Intelligence among all.
