The Study On LUNYU Rhetoric

LUNYU is an ancient book of ana system,which is mainly recording of Confucian and his students'conversation and activities. It is not only the basic data for Confucian'ideology, research, but also has significant important station during the formation and development of ancient Chinese literature and language. It is a thesaurus of language, which contains many rare material of rhetoric.Confucian'rhetoric ideology reflected in LUNYU became pioneer precious of Chinese rhetoric, which was formed in Xianqin early date of rhetoric. The chief rhetoric quest is"words or deeds must be truehearted", which is the soul of ancient rhetoric. However, Confucian put forward the thoughts of"using right words"and the theory of unified the form and content, those are consistent with Confucian'moral conception. Under the influence of'words or deeds must be truehearted', Confucian'rhetoric principle is the seemliness. It means that when people intercommunicate they must notice their actions influenced by some factors, such as environment, object, attitude, or social moral.The research of rhetoric of LUNYU normally starts with active rhetoric and negative rhetoric. Discussing Negative rhetoric uses the way of how selecting words and construction, which contain the phonetic rhetoric,meaning rhetoric and syntactic rhetoric of a certain word. While basing on these we can find Confucian are strict in them.Discussing Active rhetoric mainly aimed at general analysis of the rhetorical figures in LUNYU. We can conclude sixteen rhetorical figures, such as figuration,hyperbole. Some rhetorical figures divided into different types. People can discern distinctly and benefit extraordinary from usage of those rhetorical figures.
