The widowers, widows, orphans , childless and the disabled are disadvantaged groups.They always got great attention from the rulers of each dynasties.so did Tang Dynasty.This paper divides into two parts. The first part is aroud the subject of the official assitance in Tang Dynasty, which includes the assitance organizations as well as relief measures and so on.The second part mainly analyses the contents of unoffcial assitances in Tang Dynasty, which includes the help from kindreds as major part, neighborhoods and friends , as well as the relief from Buddha and Taoism.
