A Comparative Study Between "a Course In Chinese" And "Development Chinese" (Primary Chinese)

Teaching material construction of teaching Chinese as a foreign language is very important. In the process of teaching and study the main material which we need resort to is teaching material; The quality of the teaching material used by the students directly affects students enthusiasm and influences the quality of teaching; Comprehensive Course is one of the main courses of teaching Chinese as a foreign language, is the foundation of training various special skills. The teaching quality of comprehensive course directly affects the overall quality of instruction of primary stage in some degree.Both"A Course in Chinese"and"Development Chinese"(Primary Chinese)are the newest version's primary comprehensive course's teaching material of teaching Chinese as a foreign language. When facing the two sets of textbooks, we can't helping but pondering what are the differences between them in terms of compiling theory, contents of texts, new words, grammatical points, etc, what are the success and defect in the two sets of textbooks. However, it is a pity that up to now, we have not found any research literature on the two sets of textbooks. Therefore, we applied statistics method to specification and analysis the two sets of textbooks in terms of compiling theory, contents of texts, new words, grammatical points, etc.
