Sine the 1989, the American novelist Amy Tan has become a superstar in the literary world by writing her first work The Joy Luck Club. From then on she wrote several novels including The KitchenGod's Wife (1991), The Hundred Secret Senses (1995)and The Bonesetter's Daughter (2001). Because of these allopatric character novels, Amy Tan established her fame in Chinese American Literature world.This essay focuses on the main novels of Amy Tan.We hope to find out the deep connotations through the perspective reading. Amy Tan's novels should not be simply supposed to do the surface research. It's better find out the narrative feature in the work ,based on whatever the developed and undeveloped themes. This essay tries to present the dynamic way on the exploration. It will also show the tendency as a whole,which is the "overtopping" state in the subject content. It mainly involves the discussing on both culturalbackgrounds and values. This essay tries to summarize both the lateral thinking (including the themes) and disciplines lengthways (writer's explorations) by analysing the texts deeply.This essay has five parts, including the introduction, chapter one, chapter two, chapter there and the epilogue. The introduction focuses on issues, current researches and idea definitions. In chapter one, it will resolve the problem on the principal aspect overtopping in the cultural differences. It will demonstrate based on four aspects to show you how the covert judgement on cultural values works in the novels. In chapter two,it goes to the discussion on the dominant "overtopping" of sexism between man and woman. In this chapter, it will select typical males in the novels and classify them at great length in order to present how the sexism works. Chapter three examines the overtopping state and the communication things among the families. The chapter tries to present the dynamic process by analysing the wearin and communication on three main relationship and it also looks to show the writer's attempt to solve the problems among all kinds of conflicts. The epilogue opens a new prospect and gives a sentiment in the writing course.
