| The appearance of Xiao Dou Peng had close relation with objective cultural environment, moreover with the author's individual intention. This article firstly studied the cultural environment which the author lived in. Then we studied the impact of intention on the work's creation way and artistic style. The intention not only was the origination of creation, moreover influent work's artistic style. Therefore, it was very much significant to embark our studies from discussing the author's intention.The intention has two kinds, the dominant intention and the recessive intention. The former is what the author realized and expressed, which also embodies the author's activity and freedom. The dominant intention was an important reason for the creation of Xiao Dou Peng. The literature convention as well as reader's reading anticipation was the important reason that the author chose the Liao Zhai style. However, the author also tried to break the standard of Liao Zhai to carry on the innovation.But the dominant intention was impossible to realize completely in the work, because the author must use the traditional literature language and form, which was precisely the essential condition that the works' recessive intention was produced. From our analysis about love stories in Xiao Dou Peng, we thought that the recessive intention had more important influence on the work intrinsic style. Along this clue, this article has further analyzed the relations between the recessive intention and the work's artistic style. The recessive intention was what the writer cannot realize and some of them performance as insufficiently explicit intention. What was hided behind the text was the writer's emotional impulse and the emotional demand, which was not only individual emotion, also one kind of collective unconsciousness. |
