So the research on the whole is on a low level.By the methods of literature and logical analysis, the thesis mixes the theory of translation and Wushu culture and makes a research on the essence, strategy and methods of Chinese-English Translation of Wushu. The thesis brings forward the important principle of preserving the characteristic of Chinese culture, which must be observed in the concerned work.In the historic tide of culture globalization, the translation theory is also experiencing great changes. People become more and more likely to understand translation from the angle of culture, and view translation as a way of intercultural communication. It is believed that only by introducing each culture's original style and features that the goal of translation can be achieved. Wushu is of profound Chinese cultural connotation, and differentiates other martial arts in the world by the character of mixture of Xing and Shen, practice and maintenance, fight and arts, moral and skill. The relationship between the language and culture connotation is that between forms and contents, and the language about Wushu is abstract, vivid and concise. So the Chinese-English Translation of Wushu is not only a conversion of language and words, but also intercultural communication between Chinese and English culture. The essence and goal lies in the introduction the crystallization of Chinese culture—Wushu to the west to enhance the cultural communication. Only by introducing the original style and features of Wushu and preserving its characteristic of Chinese culture, can the goal of the Chinese-English Translation of Wushu be achieved.The translation strategy takes up an important basic place in the translation theoretical system, which mainly solve the question of which translation methods to take and how to handle the difference in the language and culture. The translation strategy includes two-domesticating translation and foreignizing translation, and the former is paid more attention against the culture globalization background in order to fight against the western culture hegemony.In the part of translation methods, translation examples are summarized to illustrate how to choose the proper methods and how to use them.
