Jorge Luis Borges And The Novels In New Time Of China

Jorge Luis Borges has made a continued and enormous impart on contemporary novels since the middle eighty of last century.The reason is not only because the extensive and profound characteristics of his novels but because his novels fit on the need of Chinese contemporary literature in different periods.The pioneer novels in mid-eighty leamed the form from Borges in order to overturn the view that the literature is the tool of Political Ideology and let the literature return to itself.During late 1980's and the beginning of 90's,because of "The anxiety of influence",many new generation writer learned "Parody" and "Dual Personality" from Borges in order to express the nothingness feeling when Aggregate Ideology collapsed.But,younger generation "birth in the 70's writer" learned the fantasy and the game Spirit form Borges in the environment of the economy ideological for popularization and market.There are five parts in this paper:The foreword part introduced Borges and his influence.The first chapter introduced the spread condition of Borges and the results of research about Borges in Chinese.The second chapter introduced three forms——"Meta-fiction","maze structure" and "the dream metaphor",which used by pioneer writers.The third chapter introduced two forms——"Parody" and "Dual Personality" from Borges.The forth chapters introduced the fantasy and the game spirit in new century novels.The final part pointed out that the "destiny" of Borges in Chinese lies in the needs of Chinese literature in different times mainly.And,the cause why Chinese novels can not exceeding Borges lies in the utilitarianism Concepts of literature,the creativity deficiency and the deficiency of philosophy knowledge.
