《shangjun's book》recorded Shangysang'thoughts and political views.Shangyang'thoughts has dominating Chinese feudal society history for more than two thousand years. It is very important to research thoughts of Shangyang, who is a typical person age of lawists today. Shangyang advanced that agriculture and war are both important. Shangyang for the first time posed the theory of developing agriculture though prohibiting industry and commerce. First, Shangyang thought that agriculture is the source of people's clothing and food and is a base premise condition to stable social order and consolidate feudal rule. Second, Shangyang raised that only agriculture can make people prosperous. Third , Shangyang put forward that developing agriculture is fundamental way to unify the country. This also is the starting point of Shangyang's policy and key content. Shangyang put agriculture to the outline of how to govern a country. Shangyang gave a series solution to solve three important questions on developing agriculture. Shangyang thought that only to solve those questions can achieve the goal of making country rich and army strong and then unified the whole country. Shangyang reforms is on the guide of his agriculture and war thoughts. Shangyang's thoughts had greatly influenced Chinese history. Because of Shangyang's reform Qin kingdom soon became the most prosperous and powerful feudal country then and this lay a foundation for Qinshihuang to unified china.
