A Study Of Yuan Xie's The Lecture Of The Book Of Songs

As the earliest collection of poems in ancient China,the Book of songs is also one of the important cultural classics in ancient China.It has formed a unique study of the Book of songs around the study and interpretation of that book.Especially in Song Dynasty,the thought of Sutra of doubt had a great influence on the study of the Book of songs,and people began to examine the text of the Book of songs from the angle of Neo-Confucianism."Jingyan",in broad sense,refers to all academic activities that impart cultural knowledge to the supreme rulers;The narrow sense refers to the establishment of the Northern Song Dynasty,which is guaranteed by special rules and regulations.Under the operation of the specialized agencies,the Confucian students who hold special official positions are placed in fixed time and in fixed places.An imperial lecture or system in which the emperor imparts knowledge of Confucian classics and history.In the history of the study of the Book of songs in the whole history of the Book of songs,the study of the Book of songs in the Song Dynasty has played an important role in the study of the Book of songs,as well as the interpretation of the Book of songs as a classic in the activities of the lecture and reading of the Scriptures in the Song Dynasty.In the Southern Song Dynasty,Yuan Xie wrote a handout for Song Ningzong's lecture and reading activities.This paper is divided into three chapters,in order to present the epoch and innovation of Yuan Xiejie's thought,which is discussed in the logical way of progressive development at various levels in order to show the times and innovation of Yuan Xie's thoughts on Poetry.First of all,this paper introduces Yuan Xie's life course and the background of Yuan Xie's book.His distinguished family background,unique family concept,and rich academic experience made him accumulate a solid academic foundation.Yuan Xie's was formed under the influence of a variety of social factors.The first is the implementation of the policy of "emphasize civil administration at the expense of national defense" in the Song Dynasty,the second is the prevalence of the renaissance movement of Confucianism,and the third is that after a long historical development,the activities of the "Jingyan" became the professional lectrue system in the Song Dynasty.It provides a good social and cultural environment and system guarantee for Yuan Xie's lecture and reading activities.In addition,Yuan's self-awareness and he was also influenced by the literature and utility of the Southern Song Dynasty,hoping to save the precarious South Song Dynasty by exhorting the monarch.Secondly,this paper discusses the thought of interpreting the poem in Yuan Xie's book.The interpretation of Yuan Xie is no longer confined to the tradition of chapter of confucian classics in the Han Dynasty,but is to seek implication according to the text.From the point of view of ethics,such as the righteousness of monarch and courtiers,the path of couple,and the principle of filial piety.In addition,his thought of mind-learning is integrated into the interpretation of the Book of songs,which extends from "natural instinct goodness,so kindness" to a series of theories about "disposition".Third,Yuan Xiejie's poetic thought is in close relationship with Song-style cultural spirit.The political and academic activities began to interact with each other in the culture of the Song Dynasty,and the lecture venue of "Jingyan" also had the dual attributes of academic and political.The common ideal of the scholar-bureaucrats of the Song Dynasty,"three generations of governance",also had a great impact on Yuan Xie.Therefore,Yuan Xie in the process of interpretation of the poem focused on the interpretation of the principles,with the characteristics of practical use.Yuan Xie has a strong sense of readership,that is,to speak "poem" for the emperor,so the interpretation format presents a three-paragraph structure.Compared with other handouts of the Book of songs in the same period,his ethical and thoughts have great characteristics,which provides a new perspective for the study of the Book of songs in later generations.
