Based on literature review, open-ended questionnaire and individual interviews, the study puts forward a theoretical hypothesis about suicide attitude of undergraduates. Then the author designs the preliminary questionnaire of suicide attitudes of undergraduates, and forms the formal questionnaire after modification. The reliability and validity are tested out. The study have investigated 694 undergraduates in 12 colleges of Chongqing with the questionnaire, and analyses the characteristics of suicide attitudes of undergraduates, then investigated undergraduates' attitudes and helpful intention to suicidal persons in different suicidal situation with. The main results of this study are as follows:(1) The self-made questionnaire has high reliability and validity. By means of the method of factor analysis, the research finds that the undergraduates' suicide attitude questionnaire is constructed by five dimensions: suicide behavioral intention, will of intercourse, emotional experience to suicide, cognition to suicidal persons, and cognition to suicide. The suicidal persons include persons who have suicidal idea or attempt. These are basically consistent with the theoretical hypothesis.(2) Undergraduates' suicide attitude presents a middle or higher level generally. The order of the rating of the five factors is as follows: suicide behavioral intention, emotional experience to suicide, cognition to suicide, cognition to suicidal persons, will of intercourse. Therefore, we can conclude that undergraduates are much more rejecting suicide behavior, more negative cognition and emotion to suicidal behavior. Undergraduates have more negative judgments to suicidal persons, but they don't repulse suicidal persons on behaviors.(3) There is a significant difference in will of intercourse, emotional experience to suicide and cognition to suicidal persons between the male and the female. As a result of comparing different gender, we find that the scores of female are significantly higher than male. The difference in grade is that in suicide behavioral intention scale, the scores of freshman are higher than sophomore.(4) There is significant interaction between gender and specialty in will of intercourse scale. (5) Undergraduates' attitudes to lovelorn and leukemic suicide are significantly different. The scores of attitude to lovelorn suicide are higher significantly than attitude to leukemic suicide, but the difference of undergraduates' helpful intention between these kinds of suicide are not significant. Inducing empathy for suicidal persons can improving undergraduates' attitudes to suicidal persons.
