Try To Illustrate Liu And Her Two Arias In Opera Turandot

Liu, a successful opera image shaped by Giacomo Puccini in Turandot, is Puccini 's most famous wok and one of the well-known classic opera images throughout the world . This paper presents the author's personal opinion on the necessity of the appearance of Liu in this opera from the perspective of the creation of drama and opera. On the basis of the analysis of Liu's charisma and the arias' music shape, the author discusses concretely in what way attention should be paid in singing and performing in the performance of the two arias of Liu.The first part shows the necessity of Liu's role in four aspects and analyses Liu's charisma following the order of the plot's development.The second part analyses the music shape detailedly in several aspects such as musical structure, mode of transfer, harmony configuration and the practices and features of melody development.The third part mainly exposes four matters (Breath, language, emotional grasp and theatrical performances) one should take notice of when performing the two arias.
