Correction On "Expostulation Records By Wei Zhenggong"

Wei Zheng was the prime minister in Tang Dynasty, known for his direct expostulation in the world. He won great fame in the court for his special status and loyal, direct character. The offspring admire such a loyal minister who was not afraid of being killed. The reference about him is many, but most specific biographies and memos are lost. Only"Expostulation Records by Wei Zhenggong"can be obtained now. This paper mainly emends and explains this book. The whole structure can be divided into introduction and specific emendation. The introduction is about his life, political ability and loyal, direct character in the process of helping several military leaders at the end of Sui and in the early period of Tan; It also lists several biographical records about Wei Zheng from the epic compiled by Jing Bo, Liu Weizhi, Zhang Daye, Wang Fangqing, and so on; It also introduces the origin, content of"Expostulation Records by Wei Zhenggong", analyzes the relation between"Records about Wen Zhenggong", stories about Weizheng's biography and"Expostulation narration"recorded by Wei Zheng himself and so on; According to records of epic and study of"Expostulation Records", this paper discusses the relation between"Expostulation Records", Political Skeleton In Zhen Guan Period and new, old Tang Book, Comprehensive Mirror for Aid in Government based on the enumeration and comparison of the relative information and the speech and act in the epic."Expostulation Records"records the speech and act between Wei Zheng and Li Shimin in the process of expostulation and answering. The paper is mainly concerned of the history and political affairs in the government by Tang Taizong, it has historical value to study the political thought, the strategies to govern the nation, and the formation of the booming Zhen Guan period. The purpose of this paper strives to revert the true history, analyzes the value of the reference in the process of emending"Expostulation Records".
