See Through The "Waiting" Phenomenon In GuiYuan Poem Of Writers In Tang Dynasty

The"GuiYuan poem"is one kind of important subjects in Chinese traditional literature. It was developed further in Tang Dynasty. In so many"Gui Yuan"poems, male literators complicated many kinds of female images through female tone .There were a lot of male writers materialize the females and cast their own desires on the images. But those females standing on the high towers ,trying to look through end of the road and waiting for the male's returning showed the distinctive aesthetics significance. The reasons are as following: eroticism depicts were cleansed, emotion's weight of "waiting" was expressed more , and sad mood of the"waiting"were weakened . This"waiting"is not only the description of the females'but also the inner feeling of the male writers'. Aesthetic subjects and the objects were interjected in the poems .The writer of this thesis is trying to explain the formation of"psychology of waiting"from the angles of aesthetics and psychology, and will discuss about the main influence to the incitements of the"Gui yuan poem". At the same time the writer tries to explain to the liberators in Tang Dynasty how to think of themselves about survival state and their limitation.Females in Tang Dynasty were restricted from the society, and they have few opportunities to go out .Their living environments were only the room, the boudoir. Perhaps they had the chance to go out several times, but when returned to the seal space , they would feel more depressed. The seal space only could form the seal the field of vision, which just formed the esthetic angle of proliferation. Simultaneously the feudalism decided that the females could not change their own destinies . This kind of realistic survival condition of the feminine aroused the masculine writer's interest. They carefully examined themselves, through the females.In Tang Dynasty the social environment was loose and comfortable, which gave large number of liberators (especially in middle and lower levels) more opportunities to gain the official positions."Doctrines of Confucius and Mencius"civilized them , which became the self- request of themselves . But the limitation of feudalization was that most of them could not get what they wanted. Their way to the politics just had to depend on the king or the imperial government .But the absolute monarchy limited many outstanding people who had politics ability entering the government center . So when the perfect ideal met the real fact , the big gap appeared ,which made them be unable to find the reference judging their own value .So their enterprising spirit was weaken , and thought that they could do nothing with the reality. The only thing they could do was just to wait in an obturation space .The ideal was so far and could not get . At that time, they thought the women who were waiting for their returning. The same emotion appeared in men's heart .So they expressed their own sorrow and disappointment though a lady's tone .Once more, is the need to expresses the political view of male writers, which relates to the"uses"of poetry tradition. They express the view to the war through Guiyuan poems.Meanwhile the"waiting female image"was the male writer's expect . The literators had to leave home and vagabondize for social value .When they could not realize the ideal ,"home"became the direction of them and the"waiting women"became the innermost expect. Especially when they met the difficulties in gaining official career, when there was no way to make their dream come true ,this mood appeared more .The social value could not embody ,but there were still women waiting for them in distance ,which gave them the other reference value to weigh themselves . During the description of the"waiting female",the male writers'abreacted bad feelings ,so the mentality got to one new balance.During the mutual influences between the subject and object , the"waiting"imago in the"GuiYuan poem"get profuse and idiographic connotation . The experience in the male's heart and the life experience of females'had inosculated together in process of"interchange of gender". As a result , the"waiting"psychology made the new development and the supplement to the form and content of the"GuiYuan poem".So it showed a lasting charm and so many people late like them.
