By using Mental Pressure Questionnaire, Coping Style Scaleand Personality Traits Scale, the article studied the statusand relationship of the kinds of police's mental pressure,coping style and personality traits in Hunan province .Theresults showed:â‘ The police in Hunan endure middle pressure, the pressureof economy is the largest. There are significant differencesbetween scores of behavior styles, talents, interpersonalrelations, attitude and norm, difference of emotionality, nodifferences are between the scores of extraversion, kindnessand norm. Positive coping styles are not significantdifferences from norm, but negative coping styles aresignificant differences.â‘¡According to the variables in population statistics, thereare significant differences among the police's age, maritalstatus, kind, etc, but no differences on gender and degree.there are significant differences on coping styles,significant differences are found on sex, marital status,service years, etc, no differences on degree and work area.â‘¢Significant positive correlation are found betweenpersonality traits except emotionality and positive copingstyles, Significant negative correlation and negative copingstyles except emotionality and attitudes, attitudes haspositive correlated to negative coping styles. The wholepressure has negative correlated to positive coping styles, butpositive correlated to negative coping styles, the pressure oforganization, individual, sociality has negative correlated topositive coping styles, no Significant correlation are found between positive coping styles and the pressure of task,frustration, time, human relations, economy, negative copingstyles has positive correlated to mental pressure except thepressure of economy, it has negative correlated to the pressureof economy. Significant negative correlation are found betweenpersonality traits except kindness and the mental pressure, themost mental pressure of factors have correlated to personalitytraits.After analying, some suggestion were made to for somedepartments. |
