In creation process of the literary and artistic,the inspiration phenomenon is one kind of more special situation. About the research of inspiration ,Until now, the people have not stopped. The question of the inspiration origin is one of the literary and artistic creator concerning. With the changing of society,the emerging of ideological trend,it is different about the question in the historical period. The article analyzes several representative personages and the school by the text analysis mainly. Looking over the history of the west literary and artistic creation ,the people know thoroughly moreover and comprehensive about this question with the changing and developing of time. In ancient Greece,Plato thought that the inspiration is the grants of god . To 18th century 90's,the appearance of romanticism literature change the question. the poet have not been a tool. The poet is the poetry creator .Then people thought that the inspiration comes from the mind. Shelley was the representative personage about the question. The mind that Shelley said was called unconsciousness by psychoanalysis faction. But people thought that it is worth discussing. The appearance of realism literature in 19th century ,the people advanced a new theory and enriched the theory about the inspiration. The realism writer thought that the inspiration comed from the accumulation in life. Only then, the inspiration can approach. Such three kind of different sources,although they were various,they elaborated the inspiration from the different angle. Therefore,the article has induced three kind of theories about origin of inspiration by the elaboration. That is to say,the inspiration coming from god granting; the inspiration coming from the mind; the inspiration coming from the source material of accumulation in life.
