At the end of February in 1993, the museum in Lianyungang of Jiangsu Province has excavated six tombs(named M1—M6)of Han Dynasty at Yingwan Village in Wenchuan Town of Dinghai County. A great deal of Bamboo documents were discovered in the funerary objects from the tomb M2 and M6. Those documents were abundent in content which included seventeen different types, such as account books, records of official names, auguries, identification cards ,calendars, qiance, diaries and literary works, which has 15,000 characters and very important values in academic research. Many scholars have studied those materials since publicized, however, most of them hadn't been collated and arranged entirely. They just focused on historiography, literature, calligraphy and other microaspects. Based on the present condition, the thesis has studied and sorted those materials out fundementally. At first, the previous achivements have been summerized and emphisized their values in different research fields while analyzed the shortcomings. Then we collated the materials of Bamboo Inscriptions of Yingwan exactly and comprehensively in the hope that it might provide the possibility of further studies for other scholars. At last, the thesis has sorted out the collection of figures of all characters and their frequency in the Yingwan Bamboo Inscriptions according to Shuowenjiezi strictly in order to offer clear figures and cases of characters to other scholars.
