The Research Of Liu Xizai's The Summery Of Arts For Ci Theory

Liu Xizai was a famous literary critic in the late Qing Dynasty,his book The Summery of Arts,intituled as another comprehensive literary criticism theory after Liu Xie's Wen Xin Diao Long in China.The Summery of Ciqu is a part of it,it's the core idea of the theoretical criticism in CiL Made an importance role in the development of ci-poetics.This text is based on Liu Xizai's life time and his academic thoughts,combining the development of Chinese ancient Ci theory,focus on The Summery of Ciqu,make a special effort to analyze Liu Xizai's theoretical discussion and theoretical characteristics in Ci.This paper consists of four part.The first part is main to analyze the origin of Liu Xizai's The Summery of Arts on Ci theory.The time that in Liu Xizai's lifelong was extremely unstable,but the theory of Ci was in it's highly prosperous period.The special historical background,made a profound influence on the formation of his thoughts.In addition,before this,the theory of Ci had gone through the.development of Song,Yuan,Ming and the front of Qing dynasty,had formed profound theoretical basis.He is constantly on the basis of the Chinese traditional literary criticism theory and the critic of the past dynasties of Ci theory,and then constructed on his own characteristic Ci criticism.The second part mainly analyzes Liu Xizai's theory of Ci,which is also the core part of this article.As this part contains more content,in order for the narrating convenience,it will be divided into two pars.This part is mainly to discuss Liu Xizai's understanding for Ci and the creation and appreciation of it_Among The Summery of Arts,Liu Xizai not only have a clear understanding of Ci,but also provides many feasible theoretical guidance for the creation of Ci,and offered lots providing method for the later learners.He not only made a strict moral subject to the author,to the Ci of recipient,he also had a strict theoretical appeal.The third part mainly to discuss the characteristics of Liu Xizai's The Summery of Arts on the theory of Ci.Though The Summery of Arts was born of Ci theory flourished in the Qing Dynasty,but Liu Xizai has its unique theoretical perspective,constructs a theory that not with age's disadvantages.He integrated the reasonable theory of others literary genre,cast into his own theory.The fourth part is mainly to elaborate the position and influence of Liu Xizai's The Summery of Arts on Ci theory.To be honest,the theory of Ci in Liu Xizai's The Summery of Ciqu,though not representative the main idea in that time,but also known to some scholars.XieZhangting,Feng Xu,Shen Cengzhi,Chen Tingzhuo and Jiang Shunyi all gave him a high praise.Shen Xianglong and Wang Guowei were further inspired by him.In conclusion,his theory was rich and profound,made the knowledge of Ci into a new face.But on the other hand,he also could not jump out the constraint of the traditional theory criticism.
