Ming Dynasty is the important period for the establishment and development of native chieftain system in Kuang-hsi, which continued and improved the tribalization of Tang and Song Dynasty and which is the dynasty of establishment and abolishment native chieftain system. Because of the development of all the community in the east of Kuang-hsi, and Ming Government to crackdown the insurgence of minority, many low-grade native chieftain system had had being in Kuang-hsi east. In south of Kuang-hsi, most of native chieftain system is high-grade, and some is low. This article is about introductions of establishment and location of them. For the establishment, the writer used the official history, chorography and the times of the history books. And for the high-grade, the writer felt easy, because of the particular recordation.The writer used the orientation and distance to the center city in the chorography, and the name of ancient country and nations or their site, and their important positions, and correct one or two conclusions of the standard books. The place of the high-grade native chieftain system are be made sure by some experts, so the writer used their productions and have his own options about the differences. For example, the place of the Siming, had been placed in Mingjiang town in Ningming. But Tanqixiang had placed in Haiyuan town in Ningming. The writer based on the recordation in 'Dushifangyujiyao', placed in Haiyuan town in Ningming.The writer made the map of the native chieftain system, and chart of the subjection. The author want to give clear expression to readers. And make some innovations in historical geography.
