A Study Of The Culture About Kinship Terms Of The Zhuang Dialect Of Daling In Daxin County

This thesis analyzes the kinship terms of the Zhuang dialect of Daling village in Daxin county conducted in the theoretical and methodological frames of cultural-linguist.Compared with previous studies about kinship terms,the present study has the following features:(1)the data comes from Daling village where people speak southern dialect of Zhuang.The thesis systematically reveals the culture about kinship terms of this Zhuang village and shows the style of this Zhang village in order to make people know more about the culture of Zhuang nationality and provide the reference and the model for study of the Zhuang culture through analyzing the universality and particularity of these kinship terms simutaneously.(2)this thesis not only analyzes the data of language through the background of culture,but also prove them with local customs,folksongs ,legends and so on in order to promote the reliability of language analysis.(3)with the development of economic and cultural contact between China and the nations in Southeast Asia.people are anxious to know the relation between Zhuang nationality and the nationalities in Southeast Asia. In such a context the thesis discusses the relation between the dialect of Daling and the languages of some nationalities in Southeast Asia.It will help to offer new data supporting the view which Zhuang languages and the language of some nationalities in Southeast Asia are cognate.This thesis consists of two sections,Section 1,Preface.It introduces the condition and achievement of study about kinship terms,the significance,the range,the theory background and the motive of the study.Section 2 deals with the relation between Zhuang dialect of Daling village and Chinese,and it promulgates the ancient marriage system which the Zhuang ancestors of Daling had experienced while showing its materials and spiritual style such as life custom,religious belief,social management way,ethics idea and so on.and it also seeks some cognate vestiges among the Zhuang dialect of Daling and the languages of some nationalities in Southeast Asia.
