Yanggu county belongs to the Central Plains Mandarin area. With the development of society, the use of kinship terms has also changed. This paper studies the use of kinship terms in Yanggu dialec by field investigation, investigates the differences in the use of kinship terms among groups of different ages, genders, educational levels, places of residence and language abilities, and analyzes the reasons for the differences in combination with language contact and other theories. In addition to the introduction and conclusion, there are three chapters in this paper:The first chapter describes the form of kinship appellation in Yanggu dialect.A total of 42 kinship terms are investigated in this chapter.Among them,13 kinship terms have only one form of kinship terms, both face and back, and 29 kinship terms have two or more forms of kinship terms.Chapter two investigates the use of 29 kinship terms with two or more forms of kinship terms, including the use of the current situation, the relevance of each kinship appellation and social factors.Among these terms, only "sister-in-law","sister" and "daughter" were not affected by gender, age, education level, place of residence and language ability. The other 26 kinship terms were all related to at least one social factor.Generally speaking, the use of kinship terms is roughly shown as follows: the younger the age,the higher the education level, the Huiyanggu dialect and Mandarin, the more close the appellation form used by people living in the county seat to the Mandarin, the older the age,the lower the education level, only can speak Yanggu dialect, living in the countryside, the more close the appellation form used by people living in the old-school dialect. The third chapter discusses the influencing factors and development trend of kinship terms in Yanggu dialec. The differences in usage were influenced by three factors:language contact, social culture and the attitudes of respondents.Based on this, some forms of kinship terms in Yanggu dialect will continue to be stable, and some forms will disappear or increase with the passage of time. This study can provide relevant data for the study of dialect and culture in Yanggu dialect, and also provide a case for the sociolinguistic study of kinship terms.
